I am unimpressed
I look and my heart is hard
Like adamantine

The First Steps
Like the thylacine
Will not walk for a photo
Such is my grandson
Our Pink Roses
Striving for freedom –
Blousy and bursting and bold –
Our pink roses.
3am Haiku
In the dead of night
A single car on the road
Sounds like a parade.
Fuzzy Moon
The unfocussed fuzzy moon
Strange streaks in the sky
And the beckoning bedroom

PLACEMARKS
Words and watercolours from my wee studio this week.

song lines, walking tracks
where we’ve been or yet to go
we find those place marks

Monday
I waited for dawn
Here it is all fresh and new
Monday pink and grey.

Our House
Peace amidst clutter
Why tidy when you can love?
A very fine house.
The Dog Walker
Ugly mongrel
Ill-bred, dirty, unkempt cur
But the dog is nice
On The Feast of Stephen (part 2)
(When the toast lay all around, deep and crisp and even)
The baby asleep
Thom cooking breakfast delights
Jazz floats in the air
